For once, I actually spent some time after the kids went to bed playing Minecraft! Turned a chest-full of sand and gunpowder into TNT, then went and had a blast (literally!)
Of course, it wouldn't be a relaxing evening without a bit of Minecraft Structure Planner hackery, so I've released version 0.99.2b. Anyone with version 0.99.2a should be getting an update notification the next time they run the application.
Tonight's change is relatively minor - a new About box. It's not just visually more pleasant though, it's far more functional too:
First, it shows you how much memory you have available, how much is allocated to the heap, and how much is used. You also have a button which allows you to request that Java clean up its memory if things are getting a little tight.
Second, it shows all of the Java system properties for your installation. They may not mean much to you, but when I'm trying to debug a problem for you then having you cut-and-paste those properties into a forum post or e-mail is going to make life much easier.
Finally, if your version of the Structure Planner is out of date then you also have the download link present at the bottom of the about box.
Enjoy,
LankyBrit.
