Release 0.99.1 Completed!

Posted by admin on March 5, 2011

Release 0.99.1 is now complete and available for download.  You can get the latest version from this very site!  Here's the full change-list for 0.99.1:

  • Fixed exporting schematics containing Obsidian.  You can now import them to your world through MCEdit without causing Minecraft to crash.
  • Implemented schematic import.  You can now use MCEdit to export a schematic of a section of your world, then import it into the Minecraft Structure Planner Freeform tab for further editing.
  • Collapsable material manifest panel.  In order to give you more room for editing on the Freeform tab, you can now collapse down the Material Manifest panel by clicking on either the panel title or the arrow next to it.  If you want to see the contents of the manifest panel again, a simple click on the panel title or the expand arrow will bring it back.
  • Freeform editing and sizing controls.  This is one that people have been asking for for ages!  You can now resize and manipulate your work area within the Freeform editor.  The editor toolbar allows you to:
    • Add and remove rows
    • Add and remove columns
    • Add and remove layers
    • Trim your design so that it reduces the grid to the minimum size possible
    • Copy and paste between layers of your design
  • Display of layer below upgraded.  Previously any cells of the current layer that had blocks below them appeared grey.  Now, cells with blocks below them show a semi-transparent version of the block texture, allowing you to see more details of the design on the layer below, and making it easier to match up your construction blocks.

Enjoy!
