Wo0t! 1,000,000 page views!

Posted by LankyBrit on June 28, 2011

This weekend the Minecraft Structure Planner site passed 1,000,000 page views since going live, with 104,000 unique visitors.  Thanks for everyone who's made this little application so popular!

As a celebratory gift, the next version of the Structure Planner will be released in the next couple of days.  There are three big changes in this next version:

1.  You can now define your own named texture sets to display in the texture panel.  Create custom texture sets defined for specific purposes such as 'castle construction', 'pixel art' or anything else that comes to mind.  No more scrolling through a bunch of textures you don't want or need!

2.  Texture pack support.  Do you use a custom texture pack in Minecraft?  Do you want to design your structures and pixel art using that custom texture pack?  No problem, 'cos they're now supported!

3.  User preferences.  All the texture set and texture pack preferences are stored in a user preferences folder that the application will read every time it starts up.  As time goes on more functionality will be added to the preferences manager so you'll be able to configure your copy of the Structure Planner exactly as you like it.

Cheers,
LankyBrit.
